EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:

1. 4 years total experience preferred, which any of the following
2. Job seekers must have a high school diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

1. Experience as follows:
2. 4 years of experience as a Security Officer, or
3. 4 years in the Military, or
4. 2 years of Military Police, or
5. Full Time Law Enforcement Officer;
6. Customer Service is required, especially in stressful situations.
7. Must be able to observe and report all activities, and know who to contact for each event.

REASONING ABILITY:

1. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
2. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

1. Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.
2. The officer must display good judgement and attention to detail.
3. Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.

SAFETY SENSITIVE

This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.

Requirements

Security Officers aid in the protection of persons and property for CARTI. This includes employees, CARTI guests, vendors and vendor companies. CARTI Officers are not armed and have no non-lethal weapons. The Officer will be protecting staff at the facility, and the vehicles in the parking lot. This includes responses to calls for emergency assistance involving violence, loitering, suspicious activity in the parking lot, crime scene preservation, domestic disputes, fires, natural disasters, internal and external emergencies, court testimony, and other issues. Security Officers are to use the highest level of customer service while working on site. Security Officers will submit daily logs, and incident logs for any incident that may occur while on duty. Assist in local police responding on campus, along with fire and EMS escorts. This position's hours will be 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
